Published: May 21, 2025

Choosing the right workplace is one of the most important decisions a team manager can make. It’s not just about location — it’s about the atmosphere, amenities, work style, and growth opportunities. If you want your team to feel motivated, safe, and comfortable, it’s worth taking a closer look at the environment they work in.

What should you consider when looking for the ideal workspace for your team? Here’s a manager’s checklist, based on the standards of premium coworking space The Shire:

1. Location and Accessibility
• Is the place well-connected to key areas of the city?
• Is it easily accessible by public transport or bike?
• Are there nearby restaurants, cafés, or spots for a quick lunch or client meeting?
The Shire’s office spaces are located in prestigious areas with excellent transport connections and surroundings that support networking and relaxation.

2. Comfort and Quality of Space
• Does the space support different work styles: focus, meetings, brainstorming?
• Is it quiet and ergonomic?
• Are the interiors aesthetically pleasing and inspiring?
At The Shire, design meets functionality — wood, natural light, and a thoughtfully planned layout help you work in comfort and focus.

3. Flexibility and Scalability
• Can you easily change the number of desks?
• Is the contract flexible and tailored to your team’s needs?
The Shire offers flexible cooperation models — whether you’re looking for a project space or a long-term office.

4. Amenities and Support
• Are conference rooms, fast Wi-Fi, printers, and coffee available?
• Is the support staff responsive and helpful?
At The Shire, you get more than a desk — you gain access to a full ecosystem of premium services and a kind, attentive team that takes care of every detail.

5. Community and Atmosphere
• Is there a culture of collaboration and mutual respect?
• Are there events or meetups that support networking and professional growth?
The Shire attracts professionals, founders, and creative leaders — it’s more than coworking, it’s a community that inspires.

6. Security and Privacy
• Can you rely on data security and private meeting spaces?
• Does the space allow for quiet, focused work?
At The Shire, zones are designed to meet different needs — from client meetings to deep, focused work.

Summary
Choosing the right workplace is a strategic decision that directly impacts your team’s productivity, well-being, and growth. The Shire is a space that truly supports these values. Make your decision consciously. Choose an environment where your team can thrive.

A Space That Encourages Networking: How Community Building Strengthens the Coworking Experience

A Space That Encourages Networking: How Community Building Strengthens the Coworking Experience

Modern offices are no longer just places to work. Today, they’re environments designed to support professional growth, create opportunities for collaboration, and help build meaningful relationships. This is the true power of coworking — it offers not only desks and meeting rooms, but above all, a community that can genuinely influence the development of a business or career.

At The Shire – Beyond Coworking, we treat community as one of the core pillars of our spaces. Networking works best when it happens naturally, in an environment that encourages connection. And that doesn’t happen by accident — it’s the result of thoughtful design, the right atmosphere, and daily interactions between people.

Coworking as an Ecosystem That Connects Different Worlds

Traditional offices often function like isolated islands — each team works at its own pace, in its own environment. Coworking is different: it’s an ecosystem full of diversity, where industries, experiences, and personalities meet every day. This means:

  • Solo workers gain access to inspiration and knowledge that are hard to find when working from home.

  • Small teams build business relationships more easily.

  • Larger companies get quick access to experts and services they need here and now.

Coworking is a space that activates people — and that’s exactly why it supports building strong relationships.

Design That Encourages Connections

In a coworking space, networking isn’t a forced activity — it emerges naturally from the way the space is designed. At The Shire, we ensure that our interiors support spontaneous interaction:

• Communal areas that invite conversation

Lounges, kitchens, libraries, and relaxation zones are places where people enjoy spending time — and where interactions start effortlessly.

• Open, flexible event spaces

They make it easy to host meetings, workshops, and presentations that attract people with diverse skills and interests.

• Private offices that stay connected to the community

Even closed offices remain close to the community’s daily life — shared areas and regular activities ensure no one works in isolation.

Networking That Happens on Its Own

The best conversations — and the most exciting collaborations — often begin with a short comment over coffee. In a coworking space, networking doesn’t require big events; it’s part of the everyday experience:

  • exchanging knowledge in the kitchen,

  • talking about projects in the chillout zone,

  • spontaneous consultations,

  • meeting people who face similar professional challenges.

These are relationships that form naturally — without pressure or formalities.

Events and Community: Natural Opportunities to Meet People

At The Shire, we believe networking should feel pleasant and effortless. That’s why we organize intimate events that encourage genuine conversation and connection — without overwhelming anyone’s calendar.

Some of the most popular include:

  • community breakfasts — light morning conversations over coffee, a perfect way to start the day in good company,

  • occasional wine evenings — a great opportunity to meet people from neighboring offices in a relaxed, after-hours atmosphere.

These events don’t follow strict agendas; their strength lies in authenticity and openness.

Business Matchmaking: Real Results of Coworking

Networking in coworking spaces leads to concrete, measurable outcomes:

  • New clients and projects
Companies often find partners, service providers, or contractors right next door.

  • Knowledge and skill exchange
From quick technical advice to marketing consultations — there’s always someone who can help.

  • Faster team development
Especially for new employees, who adapt more easily in a lively, open environment.

  • A sense of belonging
Essential for freelancers and remote workers — coworking gives them a taste of team life and daily human interaction.

Coworking Is About People — and People Create Value

In the era of hybrid work and dispersed teams, relationships have become a currency more valuable than ever. Coworking naturally responds to this need — combining comfort, flexibility, and a community that brings energy, inspiration, and real support.

At The Shire – Beyond Coworking, we see every day how meaningful a simple coffee chat can be, how powerful spontaneous interactions are, and how strongly they influence our members’ work, growth, and motivation.

Because coworking isn’t just a place — it’s the people you meet here.

Sustainable Offices – How Coworking Aligns with the Idea of ESG and an Eco-Friendly Workstyle

Working in the Rhythm of Sustainability

Environmental awareness has become more than just a trend, it’s now a genuine direction of change in business. More and more companies are asking themselves: How can we operate responsibly – towards people, the environment, and the spaces we work in? Serviced and coworking offices are increasingly becoming the answer. They naturally align with the principles of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) and promote a more sustainable, eco-friendly way of working.

Shared Space = Smaller Carbon Footprint

The traditional office model often means unused square meters, empty meeting rooms, and wasted energy. Coworking works differently, it’s based on sharing resources. When multiple companies use the same infrastructure, kitchens, IT systems, or lighting, energy and material consumption drop significantly. The result? Less space, a smaller carbon footprint, and greater efficiency. At The Shire, we pay great attention to these aspects, our offices are designed to make the most of natural light, minimize energy waste, and create spaces that support balance and wellbeing.

Ecology in Practice: Materials, Energy, Lifestyle

Sustainable coworking is not only about technology – it’s also a philosophy of design and everyday choices.

At The Shire, we focus on: • Eco-friendly materials – natural wood, glass, and durable finishes that age gracefully instead of requiring frequent replacement. • Energy-efficient solutions – LED lighting and smart HVAC systems that respond to occupancy. • Green zones – plants that purify the air, improve wellbeing, and reduce stress. • A sustainable lifestyle – access to public transport, bicycle racks, and spaces for relaxation and regeneration.

Each of these elements makes daily work more mindful, comfortable, and balanced.

The Social Dimension of Coworking

ESG is not only about the “E” for environment. It’s also about the “S” – the social side of work.

Coworking creates environments where people meet, collaborate, and support one another. It’s a community – not just an office. At The Shire, we regularly organize events, gatherings, and initiatives that connect people. This way, every member becomes part of something bigger – a community that inspires responsibility, creativity, and cooperation.

Transparency and Ethics in Space Management

The final pillar of ESG – “G” for governance – represents transparency, ethics, and accountability in business. The serviced office model naturally supports this approach: instead of rigid, long-term leases, it offers clear terms, transparent costs, and hands-on operational support. At The Shire, we ensure that every aspect of our operations – from client service to building management – aligns with the values of responsible business.

The Future of Work Is Green

Sustainability isn’t an addition to the office – it’s the new standard. Coworking and serviced offices like The Shire prove that comfort, flexibility, and care for the planet can go hand in hand. Shared spaces, smart solutions, and conscious communities are shaping the future of work. Because a truly modern office is one that cares – for people and for the world we live in.
